Recently and legally collected in private property along the Connecticut River Valley near Middletown, CT. This is the fossil impression of a Prosauropod (evolutionary transition between a theropod and long-necked sauropod) that existed some 205-200 Million Years Ago. The species that made these tracks is relatively unknown to science, but it can be said safely that this was made by a carnivorous theropod. There are impressions on both sides. On the maid side is the positive raised cast that was created when the sediment filled in an existing footprint and hardened within it. On side be is a true impression when another individual actually stepped.
This footprint has been highlighted for easy viewing, but the highlight is not permanent and can be washed off.
