Recently and legally collected in private property along the Connecticut River Valley near Middletown, CT. This is the fossil impressions multiple Theropods (raptor) that existed some 200 Million Years Ago. The species that made these tracks is relatively unknown to science, but it can be said safely that this track was made by carnivorous theropods. These are double-sided impressions, which are created when sediment fills in an existing footprint and hardens into a separate layer of sedimentary rock within it, thus creating one solid rock with multiple layers of tracks from somewhat different times (made months apart likely). The tracks on the back will be outlined in chalk as they’re a bit harder to see unless under a good light source.

This specimen has not been polished and is in its natural state.
